The sand on the beach is extremely fine, almost powder like. The beach has all types of shells, starfish and a clean shore line. The ocean is surfable and after a good rain a surfers challenge. Although the season can be short (May through September), LBI really heats up with visitors during this time and the nightlife is fab.
